Gentle Roots Yoga was founded in 2025, but its roots reach back much further. I began practicing yoga in 2011 while in college, during a season of life that felt full, fast, and often overwhelming. What I found on the mat was something grounding, a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect to myself in a way that felt both steady and supportive.
Over time, yoga became less about the poses and more about the practice of listening. As my background in anatomy and exercise physiology deepened, I became increasingly drawn to the intersection of movement, awareness, and intentional rest. That foundation continues to shape the way I teach, offering classes that are informed, accessible, and rooted in respect for the body’s natural rhythms.
Gentle Roots Yoga is based in the Carolinas, with offerings that travel along the East Coast and extend into online spaces. Whether in person or virtual, my intention is always the same: to create a gentle, reflective environment where you can move with awareness, rest without guilt, and come back to yourself.
This practice is an invitation, not to strive or perform, but to notice, soften, and reconnect. I’m honored to hold this space with you.
With warmth,
